Zinc Stearate — Versatile Release Agent & Polymer Additive

Zinc Stearate (CAS 557-05-1) is a zinc salt of stearic acid, appearing as a light, fluffy white powder. Among all metal stearates, zinc stearate is the most hydrophobic and the most effective mold-release agent. It is widely used in rubber, plastics, polyolefins, powder coatings, and cosmetics. Produced via aqueous neutralization (water process) or fusion (dry process), our grades deliver consistent zinc content (10.2–11.2%), low free fatty acid (≤0.5%), and excellent dispersibility.

Primary Applications

Rubber Industry — Release agent and vulcanization activator for tires, seals, and molded goods (1–5 phr).
PVC Processing — External lubricant and heat-stabilizer synergist; improves surface gloss (0.1–0.5 phr).
Polyolefins — Nucleating/clarifying agent in PP and PE for transparent containers and thin-wall parts (0.1–0.3%).
Powder Coatings — Sanding agent and matting agent for easy sanding and uniform finish.
Cosmetics & Personal Care — Talc replacement in pressed powders, dry shampoos, and lotions (FDA grade).
